Tanzanite Filter

The filter consists of three filters: two polaroids and one coloured filter.

The tanzanite will look different colours when viewed under tungsten lighting. Through the one polaroid you will see a bluish colour and through the other filter a reddish violet colour. This is characteristic of tanzanite. Through the coloured filter, tanzanite will appear red. It is important to get the two different colours and the red colour for it to pass as tanzanite.

This filter will assist in separating all the imitations from tanzanite, rough or cut.

Refractive index liquid is used for optical testing and must be handled with care.

Only for professional use and should be used in a well-ventilated area. Avoid contact with skin and eyes, do not ingest or inhale vapours, and wear appropriate protective gloves and eye protection when in use. Clean up any spills immediately, wash hands thoroughly after handling, and store the container tightly closed, away from heat and direct sunlight.
